At Esenboğa Airport, Blinken was welcomed by US Ambassador to Ankara Jeffry Flake, Ambassador Yaprak Balkan, Director General for Political Affairs Responsible for the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ankara Deputy Governor Namık Kemal Nazlı, and many other officials.
In the official meetings to be held between Fidan and Blinken tomorrow, it is expected that the situation in Gaza, regional issues, and bilateral relations will be discussed. Journalist Adem Yavuz Arslan had predicted in an article he wrote on Politurco two days ago that Blinken would propose that Turkey accept Palestinians from Gaza as refugees.”
